Erika has been hard at work preparing for Thirty One, a Portland art exhibition dedicated to making masses of great art available to the masses. She just finished her paintings yesterday evening, as is almost as excited as I am to attend the event tomorrow evening.

Thirty one everything
Like the previous event, the theme is the number. There will be thirty one artists, who each produce thirty one paintings. 961 / 992 of the works will sell for $31 each, the remainder of which will be sold in a silent auction. These works are also larger, so they deserve the extra attention.
It's not all about the artists either, as a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Artists for the Arts, an organization dedicated towards helping our local Portland art community.
I'm sold, give me the details
Tomorrow evening, August 1st, doors will open at Ohm Traditional Art studio (14 NE 10th Ave) at 7pm and will stay open until 10pm. Get there early. Last years' event was a mad rush, and 30% of the works were gone within the first hour.
If you can't make tomorrow evenings' event, there will be a hidden gems sale on Sunday from 6 - 8pm also. But fair warning, everything will be picked over.
Even showing up just for the experience will be worth the trek, as I've heard rumors of a well-known chef selling affordable appetizers on the street, as well as some musical appearances.
I'll be there all evening, but likely not in my famous orange hat (Erika makes me look somewhat presentable for these things). If you come by to check it out, make sure and say, "Hi!"
