One Week in New England

Fenway Park Night Game

This week I ventured out to Boston to hang out with the New England ISITE folk and put some faces to names with a few of our clients. The week is almost done, and I've had a blast, and little time to reflect and blog. This is a beautiful place with tons of history. I've tried to take as many pictures of the various places I have wound up this week, and managed to squeeze out around a dozen. That is a lot for me.

I did manage to get into downtown Boston a few evenings. One evening I simply went wandering trying to find the the Union Oyster House, which happens to be the oldest restaurant in the country. After a couple hours of being hopelessly lost, I found myself in Chinatown and fearing for my life. It was that point I realized that the best way to get around urban Boston is by mass transit or cab.

Last night, one of our owners took me to Fenway, which has been the highlight of the trip. Unfortunately, the Red Sox got spanked, but taking in all of the tradition and culture of the experience made the trip unforgettable. I even found a cool new hat so I can now finally retire my inverted orange meshed one. My only regret was not joining in song for Sweet Caroline late in the game. Life is full of learning experiences, I guess. Ahh.. it brings me back to some of the older days of this blog when I posted right after game seven against the Yankees.

My week is nearly over, though, and I'm exhausted and just about ready to head home. Between meeting with four different clients (and prospective clients), seeing the Cavs get sweeped by the Spurs, and driving in Boston (I got honked at over a dozen times), all I can think about is sleeping in on Saturday.
